Artistic interest has always been present in my life.
But I didn't have enough courage to fully throw myself into living off the arts. I thought more of daily sustenance and the responsibility of raising two children. My work then submerged itself in the captivating and asphyxiating world of film and television, and advertising for more than 35 years.
Today I am committed to spending the rest of my time in painting, trying to discoverer and find within myself the images that truly motivate me, the images that I want to leave behind as a tribute to life, the images that allow me to see beyond what I'm looking at. This search made me come up with a phrase as if it were my life's truth: "If at any point I discover what art is, I will run, I will hide, and nobody will ever know any more of me, until then I will carry on painting". And with that I spend my hours and my days in constant awe.

El interés artístico siempre estuvo presente en mi vida.
Pero no tuve la valentía suficiente para lanzarme por completo a vivir del arte, pensaba más en la subsistencia diaria y la responsabilidad de mantener dos hijos. Mi trabajo entonces se sumergió en el absorbente y asfixiante mundo de la televisión, el cine y la publicidad por más de 35 años.
Hoy estoy decidido a ocupar el resto de mi tiempo en la pintura, tratando de descubrir y de buscar dentro de mí, las imágenes que realmente me motivan, las imágenes que quiero dejar como un homenaje a la vida, las imágenes que me permiten ver cosas mas allá de lo que estoy mirando. Esta búsqueda me hizo crear esta frase como si fuese mi verdad vital: "Si en algún momento llego a descubrir ¿Qué es arte? correré, huiré, ya nunca nadie más sabrá de mí, hasta entonces seguiré pintando".
