Surrender to what you are fighting against.

With seeing eye put your finger into your wound.
What exactly is it that hurts you the most?
What exactly is it that seems most threatening to you?
Yes, exactly. Go there.
Feel the storm.
Inside you and around you.
Keep the focus towards your wound.
Immerse yourself in it. Feel it.
So long, until you are inside of it.
... and then it gets quiet.
Your thoughts become calm.
Your emotions become calm.
The threat is over.
The fight is over.
You are inside your inner center.
In the eye of your own storm.
It can still rage around you.
It's so far away now.
Was it really there?
Was it really threatening?
Messages appear.
You understand connections.
You start to smile.
All at once, you feel so light.

Gesa Vestri
I was reading this poetic statement of Cesa Vestri, when their powerful simplicity push me to try to convert it in visual art.
Here I use roses as an expression of the world of forms and the world of the formless too. The woman's black top symbolizes a heavy ego and a painful body, the tousled hair - heavy and confusing thoughts. Still, if you look cosely at the ego and look at the worthless thoughts, of you throw the light of attention on it, then there ist a transformation of emotions, then you separate form identification with ego, painful memories... form suffering.

Born in Russia, Anastassia Skopp was raised by her Mom in the city of Saransk where she studied art for 7 years (1985-1992) at the Mordovian Art College named after P.F. Ryabov for children and young people. There she learned about drawing, composition, art of painting and sculpturing from well-known artists and painters.
Anastassia has been drawn to art since she was a little girl. So much, one day she decided to try her luck and check out a local art college secretly. A month later her Mom received a bill for the art college and although surprised and certainly concerned about the monthly cost, she supported her wish to attend the art college where Anastassia spent the next 7 years surrounded by the smell of paint and the rhythm of canvases.
In 1999, Anastassia graduated from the Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute in Saransk with a degree as a Teacher of German and English Languages. During her time at the institute, her love for art continued to grow and she attended art courses there for 2 years. Not long after graduation, she worked at the Mordovian State University in Saransk until she got married in 2002 and moved to Germany. Here in Germany (Bottrop, NRW), after a short career pause raising her daughters, she got to her painting brushes again and did not let go of them until today. In 2005, she officially became a freelance artist. Her works of art can be found in private collections around the world from Europe to the USA and Canada.
