Laura Parrinello

Laura Parrinello è nata a Trieste; ha ottenuto il diploma di maturità classica e frequentato la Facoltà di Lettere nella stessa città. Ha quindi intrapreso viaggi e soggiorni all’estero, in particolare in Inghilterra, trovando ispirazione per la scrittura di poesie e per la pittura. Ha trascorso gli anni Sessanta-Settanta a Milano, frequentando l’ambiente artistico di Brera, per poi ritornare nella sua città natale. Ha pubblicato due collezioni di poesie. Pittrice, in gran parte autodidatta, negli anni Novanta ha presentato le proprie opere a Trieste in una mostra individuale e in alcune esposizioni collettive. Nell’ultimo decennio ha continuato ad esplorare nuove espressioni astratte e figurative, filtrate attraverso uno stato di handicap fisico, causato dalla sclerosi multipla.

Laura Parrinello was born in Trieste, where she passed the final exam at the high school for classical studies and attended the Faculty of Literature. She embarked on travelling abroad, in particular in England, and found inspiration for writing and painting. She spent the Sixties-Seventies in Milan, joining the Brera artistic circles and then returning to her birth town. She published two collections of poems. As a painter, she is mainly a self-taught artist. In the Nineties she presented her paintings at a personal exhibition and at some collective picture galleries. In the last decade she went on exploring new abstract and figurative expressions, filtered through her state of physical handicap caused by multiple sclerosis (MS).
