This painting was inspired by the light and weather of the northern UK coastline where I have spent much time. It doesn't aim to represent a particular place, but rather to evoke the atmosphere of stormy, windy days of spring and autumn on rain-swept beaches.

This painting was inspired by the light and weather of the northern UK coastline where I have spent much time. It doesn't aim to represent a particular place, but rather to evoke the atmosphere of stormy, windy days of spring and autumn on rain-swept beaches.
It's painted using professional artist quality acrylics on canvas board, and is completed with one layer of varnish for protection: it is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/signed in full on the reverse.
Please note that the painting is unframed and has no hanging fixtures.
It will be carefully packaged and sent tracked and insured with a reputable carrier.

I was born near London and spent my teenage years on the Isle of Wight. Following university in the UK and Canada, I spent many years working in health and education settings as a speech and language therapist, and also as a dance movement therapist in private practice.
I have always painted, and a few years ago took the bold decision to concentrate fully on my painting. I now live and work from my home in the beautiful borderlands between England and Wales, and make frequent painting journeys for inspiration further afield to the hills and coastlines of the north of England and Scotland.
