Enraciné en 1975 à Agen (47), Fred Besnardière est un artiste autodidacte, tour à tour peintre, photographe, cinéaste, écrivain, il aime créer l'étrange, le bizarre, l'humain et le réel déformé.
Depuis tout jeune il est fou de bandes dessinées, de presse underground satirique, de cinéma. Il fait naître son inspiration et ses envies sur son chemin de vie.
Tantôt soignant en milieu psychiatrique, tantôt voyageur, constructeur de cabanes ou travailleur agricole, il prend le temps de créer et bâtit chaque jour ses œuvres originales. Son art, quel qu'il soit, ne laisse pas indifférent, ses huiles sont des histoires compréhensibles, sa peinture interroge, transporte, des scènes toujours pimentées d'un brin d'humour et de sexe. Sa technique, ses couleurs, ses formes, ses visages sont reconnaissables entre toutes....
