JoEl – A Journey into Colors, Light and Soul
For centuries, artists have sought to capture the essence of human existence and make the invisible visible – from Bruegel’s depictions of humanity’s struggle to Friedrich’s landscapes as gateways to transcendence, from Rembrandt’s inner radiance to Turner’s worlds of light. Modern voices added their own visions: van Gogh made colors flare like inner flames, Chagall painted dreams between heaven and earth, Kandinsky turned music into color, Renoir celebrated the lightness of the moment. These traditions remain a living inspiration for JoEl – a trace of art history that resonates in his works.
It begins with a gaze – the wonder at beauty hidden in the everyday. From early on, inspired by his father, JoEl discovered his love for photography. It became his key to capturing special moments and revealing the invisible.
For more than a decade, he worked as a spiritual healer, discovering that creativity itself is a form of healing. This insight continues to guide him and forms the inner core of his artistic journey.
In 2024, an inconspicuous moment led to a revelation: two espresso drops in a tray – fleeting, accidental, yet full of symbolic meaning. For JoEl, they became a sign of creative inspiration, a gateway into a new world. From this spark, digital art emerged, giving rise to more than a hundred compositions – abstract collages, surreal landscapes, and vibrant dreamscapes. Each composition tells a story, opens spaces of wonder, and touches heart and soul.
Since June 2025, JoEl has expanded this path through the use of artificial intelligence. Not as a rupture, but as an evolution – a creative partner that unites photography and digital art while amplifying the poetic. For him, AI is a resonant space where intuition, spirituality, and technology merge into new visual worlds.
Thus unfolds a cosmos in which art is more than image: it becomes a mirror of inner spaces, an invitation to pause, and a companion on the search for one’s own radiance.
Today, JoEl lives with his husband in Dörverden, Lower Saxony. His works are gateways into a world where spirituality and color, stillness and movement, intuition and technology become one – art that shines, touches, and endures
