DRAWING OIL CAN Elf-Fiat-Kendal-Mobiloil-Castrol...
Lately, while browsing the web, I have come across a wide variety of oil cans for all types of engines: motorcycles, cars, bicycles and other motor vehicles. What struck me most was the graphics of these containers: lively, creative, often surprising. The colorful writing, the impactful logos, the meticulously crafted visual compositions — both Italian and foreign — transform these simple cans into true design objects.
Some are small, perhaps designed for bicycles or small-displacement engines; others are larger, probably intended for more powerful vehicles. Beyond their practical function, I found in these packages a strong aesthetic value and a graphic richness that deserve to be described.
For this reason, I decided to dedicate a series of drawings to these oil cans, taking up their shapes, colors and graphic details, to celebrate the imagination and originality that is often hidden in everyday objects.
"I'd like to know your honest opinion: does it seem like a valid idea or rather useless?"
