Una pittura simbolica e surreale è quella che caratterizza Gianni Mameli, in arte Algoritmo, classe 1974. Nato in provincia di Cagliari si trasferisce ad Alghero per un paio d’anni nel 1991, dove incontra lo scultore Mario Nieddu, suo professore e maestro di vita. Inizia i suoi primi lavori, nel 2000.
L’ispirazione trae origine dalla volontà di manifestare sulla tela una sensazione, uno stato d’animo. Le sue opere identificano il senso vivo dell’immagine, un pò come il linguaggio che descrive la trama. La sua è una pittura legata all’interpretazione della realtà percepita in modo soggettivo, ispirata e stimolata da soggetti reali e quotidiani. Il non volersi conformare in un “marchio”, in un preciso segno di riconoscimento è forse l’unico suo aspetto che non muta.
"Rappresento situazioni e stati d’animo attuali e passati e avverto dentro di me la necessità di riproporli attraverso l’arte figurativa che ogni volta mi conduce verso nuove traiettorie".
