I painted a 4-part Pandemic series on the Covid-19 epidemic, focusing on human isolation, the pain and loss caused by the epidemic, and the socio-economic impacts.
The inspiration for the paintings was in each case a well-known work of art. I reinterpreted the works of art, placed them in the Pandemic space.

The starting point of the picture is a statue of “Mother with Child” located in a church garden in Budapest, which is a monument to one of the most traumatic historical events of the Hungarians. However, the image is also the latest creation in my series Pandemic. The pain that torments us because of our human nature can come from so much of everything, yet all the pain is so similar. It is a universal feeling: all the people who have ever lived in the world knew and still know it today.

In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere.

The painting is made with self-made paint, which basically consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints.

The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only few artists around the world work with wax on its own.

This work will be delivered with Care Instruction of my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this works in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
