My project, entitled “We Are All Islands Now,” is dedicated to life during Covid-19.
I can confidently say that Covid-19, a very strong impact on my life. I was blocked in the Kingdom of Andorra, in a country where there is no Airport, with Russian citizenship, separated from my beloved and family. Governments did not let me into any of the countries bordering Andorra; for a while I found myself in a difficult situation. At that time, my main occupation was to contemplate the mountains, and rethink life. So, this way my work was born, which I gladly present to you!
During these times, a lot of thought happened about different things, including whether; Became we the best version of ourselves during quarantine?
Are we ready to enter into this “new wonderful world” promised to us, where we will never be the same again?

Biography
The Artist explores, critiques and questions cultural constructs of identity. Yana's works are permeated with wry humor, irony, and erotica. More often reflecting her exploration of female identity and women's place in society. Traveling a lot, including Asia, East, Europe and South America. Yana explores the culture of countries, history, philosophy, politics, religion and identity in her works. Yana both adheres to and does not overthrow the limitations of centuries-old artistic traditions. playing with iconography and freely choosing images from different sources to challenge such polarities as oriental art and contemporary eroticism. For me, these are playful and deliberately ambiguous images, with which I hope to create a gap or distance in political, religious ideologies, opening up opportunities for uncertainty and opening up different points of view.
