Biography
Sven Pfrommer is a contemporary German visual artist, known for his multidisciplinary approach that spans photography, painting, and printmaking. His creations, which blend various materials such as acrylic, metal, wood panel, and canvas, reflect a dynamic and innovative exploration of artistic expression.
After obtaining his degree in visual communication, Pfrommer's dedication to his craft led to a scholarship from the British Council, facilitating further studies in visual arts at the prestigious Royal College of Art in London. Throughout his artistic journey, he has achieved notable recognition, receiving an honorable mention in the International Photography Contest, the Berlin Airlift Prize, and the Walter Thiemann Award in Leipzig. In 2021, his acclaimed series titled "Tokyo Crossing" earned him the prestigious Gold Prize in the Architecture category at the PX3 competition.
Sven Pfrommer's work has been showcased in various international exhibitions and art fairs, highlighting the global impact of his artistic vision. PRINTBIENNIAL DOURO 2023, PORTUGAL
The International Printmaking Biennial runs from 10th AUG until 31st October 2023.
500 Artist from 65 countries are showcasing 800 printmaking works. The 800 works will be displayed at 15 Exhibition Locations in 6 Counties near the Douro River in Portugal. The program includes Conferences, Performances and printmaking workshops.
The OPENING of the DOURO BIENNIAL 2023 is taking place in the CÔA Museum and the Duoro Museum.
