My current collection of realistic paintings represents small format paintings. As before, they are compositions of beautiful vintage and antique everyday objects. The works are made on paper primed with acrylic paste, the size of the format is small - 17.0"x12.0"in, the density of paper is 300g/m2. The paintings have an "antique" theme. Biography
Olena Kucher is a Ukrainian artist who lives in a small town in Ukraine. She inherited her interest in painting from her artist father. From an early age she was fascinated by the game of brush and paint.
Her realistic oil paintings demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship. The vintage and antique themes of her still life paintings are of great interest to the public.
Olena is inspired by the works of 17th century Dutch painters. That is why oil is her favourite medium. She prefers to use noble and muted colours on the palette. The paintings are painted from life. She uses oil paints with natural pigments. Only cotton canvases are preferred.
Оlena has an art education. She is a participant in many art shows and art events. Currently works in her private studio.
Her authentic paintings have already added to many private collections of art lovers.

At the moment, it's just the two of us working on the small details, namely me and my assistant for hand-holding, the mushtabelle.
In the next few days the still life with kerassene lamp will be finished and published on Artmajeur.

I almost always prepare the base for the painting myself. It sets me up for the creative process. In this video I demonstrate sticking the canvas onto cardboard. A new still life is planned!

I have an idea to paint a series of works in oil on paper. They will be still life paintings in 45x30 cm format, paper density 300g/m2. The surface of the paper is pre-primed with acrylic paste.
