This sculpture belongs to the Obosom series, a name cited in one of the essays by the writer Robert Graves, in which he mentioned: "Obosom was a visible manifestation of the Kra or vital force derived from the moon and enjoyed a limited part of the full power of the moon goddess ".

It is therefore an approach, through the sculptural form, to the concept of divinity, so present in the art of all times and all countries, from classical Greek art to Eastern, passing through African.

The sculpture aims, through the abstraction of the basic forms of the female body, to approach the essence of the transcendent that has been perceived in all cultures, from the Christian virgins to the Hindu goddesses.

The approach cannot be direct, but requires the expression of the inspiring force and power that these figures have had and still have for humanity. Steel fulfills this function perfectly since it allows the combination of straight and curved planes, dating the sculpture of power and elasticity.
This large-format work is an extraordinary work of art, and a unique decorative object, with its mere presence it is capable of transforming a space.

The photograph is in white, to highlight the details of the sculpture, and black and may present a slight difference from the original.

Roberto Canduela is one of the most remarkable emerging sculptors of the new artistic scene in Spain. He gets the inspirations from classic forms that he puts together with modernity through a simplification exercise.

The goal of his work is to condense and summarize, through abstraction, the human subconscious. He takes as an essential example the interaction between the artist and his work. The sculptures arouse a singular attraction as well as a self-presence that is almost magnetic.

Roberto Canduela has done more than 60 exhibitions all over the world and won several prizes. Some of his sculptures are part of private collections; some have been used as Public Work in Spain for different companies and organizations.

The Artist was highlighted in an article in Artmajeur Magazine:
