With 3 years of training at the Académie Charpentier and a career in advertising, my style comes from the "rough", quick drawing in felt to express a concept. I love the Pop Art, Warhol and Lichtenstein movement and comics that rocked and ultimately sweetened my childhood. I work on a whole series of illustrations on the theme of the beauties of the 60s / 70s, Ford Mustangs and other Corvettes, drawing inspiration from the events that took place the year of their release.
I propose a theme on Cuba and the old American cars of the 50s / 60s because I particularly like the chrome and the light they reflect but also the round and generous shapes. I also have a sympathy for the resistance in the USA, capable of the worst as well as the best (in Rock in particular), "Che" having become a Pop / Rock icon to which I pay a discreet homage. Work on reflections of metal and chrome, complexity of bodywork but also on the atmosphere of the streets, characters and architecture. These are illustrations in felt-tip pen that I re-increase in pencil for more relief and depth. I also work in black pencil and in particular by following the Ferrara Festival in Italy, being a musician myself.
I also offer a series "les p'tits crates" with fruit to make your mouth water! It's a different job on repetition, so the patience inherent in studying.
