The painting depicts a serene scene captured during an early morning plein air session, where the sun gently emerges from behind the mountains. Executed during my participation in an art camp, the piece is rendered using the impasto technique, characterized by the application of thick brushstrokes that impart a palpable texture to the canvas. Vibrant, contrasting hues dominate the composition, harmonizing with the pronounced texture to evoke an expressive mood.
