Paz is a self-taught painter. She was born and raised in Santiago de Chile but has spent the last 48 years living abroad, mostly in Europe. Her work is inspired by Latin American folk art and impressionism. She uses colorful patterns and cats as her main subjects to express joyful imagery from daily life. Due to her experience as a refugee adapting to many diverse countries and situations she finds comfort in creating order and beauty in her artwork. She paints with acrylics on canvas. She lives in Valencia, Spain with her four cats.
