Giò Pasta embarks on the mysterious path that leads into the garden of utopia, which is a disturbing experience of boundaries and transgression. It's not an escape, but an increasingly accelerated journey into the geography of an unconscious universe, a bridge between wakefulness and dreams, a sea and a web of symbols, a trail that insists and engages both play and irony. - It's the imagination that underscores the importance of the formal qualities of a work of art. The creation of a form inscribes the manifestations of the unconscious, making it believable, freeing it from the systematic rigor of the superego. The artistic language offers a new order in which the experience of the unconscious reality can be had without tension.
In modern life, however, it's a stressful adventure, an ever-accelerating journey towards a void that often ends up causing us anxiety. To deal with the problems of daily life - and even the less common ones - we all employ various tactics. Not more than a few decades ago, in counterculture circles, and from the psychedelic experience to that of the "virtual helmet," the escape from reality is a design that implies the tendency to escape from the conscious world into the unconscious and subliminal one, in search of the desired security and tranquility in a fantastic world. The philosopher and ethnobotanist Terence McKenna stated, "the only difference between computers and drugs is that one is too big to swallow." Timothy Leary, another famous advocate of psychedelics (and former Harvard psychologist), also advocated the creation of what he called "Cyberdelics," with its two main varieties: the individual and "ascetic," which goes as far as dreaming of liberation from the material body and "electronic immortality," and the collective and Dionysian, expressed in the delirium of nocturnal parties where an attempt is made to reach a trance through technological hyperstimulation.

I was born in Fano. Graduated Master at the International Art Institute "Fanum Fortunae" in Fano. In the 60s I moved to Milan, to continue my studies by attending the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, located in the heart of that vibrant, free and nonconformist Milan of those years, sharing art with many artists who frequented the favorite for many of them: a golden decade of art, music, fashion, design and a great will to live. In 1975 the first personal exhibition, "Tratti & Ritratti", Galleria Guelfa, Florence. In 1977 in Rome. I attended the Academy of Dramatic Art "P. Sharoff". The meeting with the famous F. Vigo gallery owner immediately established a good feeling and so he exhibited in his "Numero" gallery in Rome, a point of reference for relations between internationally renowned artists and intellectuals. In 1981 I returned definitively to Milan, from here I resumed my initial path. In 1991 I was fully accepted as an Academician at the Academy of Fine Arts in Fano. In the years to come, with multimedia events and installations, my painting maintained the figurative style between the visionary and the fantastic, continuing the transit towards the latitude of the dream leads me to express, through journeys of the psyche, the metaphors of the life of the my mental imagery.
