Born in Ourense, Spain, I painted since I can remember.I attended Art classes at my local Art School. Then, due to circumstances of life, I embarked in a career in the Merchant Navy. I salied all over the world for 17 years reaching the Rank of Ship`s Master (Captain).Combining saling and studying,I attended the old and prestigious Heatherley Art School in London and later graduated from Chelsea School of Art (London University).I lived in London nearly 30 years.I now live in Spain, very near where I was born.

I have worked in practically all mediums, but now I work mainly in Encaustic (hot wax).I don`t like to classify my style because , as Picasso said, the most abhorrent thing an Artist can do is to copy himself.Every subject demands a different visual and plastic labguage. However, for the sake of clarity, my painting does not copy a visual world, it aims at recreating it, adding something to it while maintaining its main recognisable form.
