What I am I trying to say in my painting, In My Garden? I am relating that I am flesh and blood, part of Gods earth, and that one day my remains will go back into the Gods earth as all nature does. As you will notice, that there is dark and there is light on the two different sides of the canvas; a battle that I fight everyday, doing my best what God wishes me to do, fighting the forces of evil. On the left, where there is darkness, there is a butterfly, that reminds me that I must remain faithful to my God. The sparrow on the right reminds me that I need to be in the light and that my life is only temporary like the sparrows life. Why did I paint the artichoke, because they are beautiful as they bloom, but they too have a temporary life as I. The passion flower, reminds me of the passion of Jesus Christ and that He died for everyone's sins. Why do I wear a smile? Because my life will be everlasting, and I too will be in paradise one day if I remain faithful to my faith and do God's will.
One may also ask, how does a painter do Gods will through painting? I do it by using the gift of art I was given and using the gift for His glory.
