Carmen Gutierrez Cueto, (named Maria del Carmen Gutierrez Menéndez) from Asturias, was born in Madrid on 28 December 1928, with an innate ability to capture light, colors and create beauty.
She has painted since childhood, always natural, first self-taught and then, after a hiatus for the birth and care of their children, resumes its formative stage in the study of Gutiérrez Navas, where she learns thoroughly the craft of painting.
At 73 he continued to produce works, until an illness in his joints deformed hands and prevents you paint. She died in Madrid at 87 years of age, January 11, 2016.
Carmen Gutiérrez has belonged to the Association of Painters and Sculptors (AEPE), participating since 1980 without interruption in all competitions, Madrid Autumn salons, and various exhibitions organized by the Association, with many selected works and some winning.
Exposes successfully in numerous galleries in Madrid and Avila, Madelca, Ingres (collective), Eureka (collective), Alboleng, Millares, IX Contest of the Catalan Circle Award Air Force, Casrrubuelos (collective), Real Club de Golf RACE, Club Zayas (collective) and Athenaeum Hall.
Also in the Caja de Extremadura de Cáceres, Caja de Badajoz, Real Club Nautico de Salinas Avilés Gallery Cerralbo Vigo (collective), Casino de Alicante and in the Exhibition Hall of Valladolid BBV.
