Today, in these times, relaxing is not an option, it is a necessity, at this time everything plays in favor of our stress, which causes us restlessness and multiple functional imbalances, both physical and emotional. But relaxing is not easy when work and problems manifest themselves in an environment such as large cities isolated from nature and we also invite them to spend the night with us, thus altering sleep, that state in which energy is repaired and charged our body. Meditating on this theme, I began to work on this series of six paintings, in which I show an imaginary world of relaxation and abundance, so that the mere fact of contemplating them, produces on the viewer even if only during those moments of contemplation. , a balm capable of calming our anxiety.

Artistic formation:
Graduated in Fine Arts – University of La Laguna (Tenerife – Spain).
Without a doubt, his great versatility is, in my opinion, the trait that most defines him as an artist; a versatility that is evident both in the variety of techniques he uses and in the various themes he develops. That gift allows him to avoid the comfort of clinging to a single genre and reiterate it through empty and repetitive language. That is why his career is very expressive of the continuous creative disquisitions in which he delves, always looking for new approaches to the principles of art such as light, color, composition, etc.
In short, Benito Salmerón does not accommodate himself to the inane repetition of established formulas and each step he takes is to surprise us with new insights into the world of painting. He is a consolidated artist, with a very personal vision of painting, which he expresses with absolute freedom, and in which there is room for both the spiritual and the real and tangible, the figurative and the abstract. Therefore, he is an extremely versatile painter in his arguments and from a technical point of view his work seems irreproachable to me.
