Audrey Fléchet was born in 1977 in Paris, interested very early in the art of sculpture, it was during an internship with the sculptor Renée Bossaert that she discovered her vocation and decided to devote herself to sculpture at the age of 17.
She trained with several masters of sculpture in Paris, learned the technique of casting with Monsieur Christophe Gottini at the National Museum of Natural History, a prestigious place where she also learned to perfect the technique of cutting fine stones: with Mr Eric Gonthier of the mineralogy gallery.
Later the technique of casting bronze with lost wax caught his attention. his apprenticeship was with the Frédéric Ducros art foundry, in Paris.
She has been developing and refining her style for more than twenty-five years: figurative, retaining the expression and emotion of her characters with a concern for anatomical accuracy, seeking to exacerbate the proportions in a resolutely modern style. This formation in the Parisian artistic milieu, in the workshops of work on living model, becomes an art of living, a description of humanity in its joys and its sorrows, its light and its shadow.
Since her 19 years she works in her own workshop and alternates exhibitions and creative periods.
Today this workshop is also an art foundry, it is located in the Berrichonne countryside, a place conducive to inspiration.
She dedicates herself entirely to her work as a sculptor and founder. She designed and built her traditional charcoal melting furnace, developing a technique to obtain her bronze works: stunt in the soul, she only produces unique artwork.
This unusual creative process makes the work more perilous and exciting. More valuable too. Giving a life and a history proper to each creation, born in fire, perennial and fragile at the same time.
