This colorful summer still life was created by accident. I saw peppers that were sold in the market, and I wanted to paint them. And then I went for coffee, because what is work without coffee!, and I saw a pink donut. He seemed to tell me Eat me! Paint me!, and thus it ended up in a still life.

Andrii Zhukov, a contemporary Ukrainian artist, embarked on his artistic journey with a foundation in Fine Arts. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by the completion of a Master's degree in 2006 at the Publishing and Printing Institute (Department of Graphic Arts) of NTUU ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’. Prior to this, Andrii also pursued Fine Arts studies at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.

Andrii's creative pursuits span a diverse range of mediums and techniques, reflecting his multifaceted talent. His main areas of artistic exploration include easel painting, metal artworks using mixed etching and chemical rusting techniques, handmade pinhole photography, fresco, decorative art, sculptural art-objects in concrete, graphic art, digital/analog art photography, and digital art.

The artist achieved recognition by winning the Odessa International Art Prize in 2019, a testament to the excellence and innovation present in his work. Andrii's creations have found homes in numerous private collections across Ukraine, Israel, Europe, and the USA, underscoring the global appeal and appreciation for his art.
