This collection contains artworks that are either based on ancient myths (mostly Ancient Greek mythology) or are the author's own contemporary myths. In some artworks, I come to create my own mythological images. As a symbolist artist, I am very attentive to symbols and details (attributes of characters). I reinterpret ancient myths and interpret them in my own way. I reinterpret modernity and create a myth out of it. Each of my artworks has a complex philosophical subtext.

This is a series of artworks I painted on circular hardboards (HDF).
The round shape suggests a different view on composition. For me it was an interesting experience after working with the classic canvas form.
In addition, the completely smooth surface texture allows for near-perfect painting of faces and objects.
The themes of the artworks in this series are slightly surreal, as well as classical, allegorical and sometimes quite simple.

Biography
Andrii Zhukov, a contemporary Ukrainian artist, embarked on his artistic journey with a foundation in Fine Arts. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by the completion of a Master's degree in 2006 at the Publishing and Printing Institute (Department of Graphic Arts) of NTUU ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’. Prior to this, Andrii also pursued Fine Arts studies at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.
Andrii's creative pursuits span a diverse range of mediums and techniques, reflecting his multifaceted talent. His main areas of artistic exploration include easel painting, metal artworks using mixed etching and chemical rusting techniques, handmade pinhole photography, fresco, decorative art, sculptural art-objects in concrete, graphic art, digital/analog art photography, and digital art.
The artist achieved recognition by winning the Odessa International Art Prize in 2019, a testament to the excellence and innovation present in his work. Andrii's creations have found homes in numerous private collections across Ukraine, Israel, Europe, and the USA, underscoring the global appeal and appreciation for his art.
Andrii Zhukov actively engages in the art community, participating in various co-exhibitions and art projects. His contributions to these collaborative endeavors showcase not only his individual talent but also his commitment to the broader artistic dialogue. As a versatile artist with a rich educational background and a portfolio that transcends traditional boundaries, Andrii Zhukov continues to leave a lasting impact on the contemporary art scene.
