This work represents a keystone in my most recent artistic career. For some years I had already been channeled towards an almost abstract painting but not entirely, with characters of my own invention that led me in the path of distancing from reality. I felt the need to detach myself from them and to orient myself towards "my" abstractionism. I wanted to express myself freely, without the constraints of forms that inevitably followed one another on my canvases in an orderly and static way. I wanted to be free from graphic patterns of creatures, which I wanted and desired so much, but which were making me feel connected. I experimented and tried, until I arrived and used the shapes I already knew by mixing them, opening them and deforming them. And I got up to here; this painting is proof of this. It is not for me a point of arrival but of departure, to always experiment, listening to where my instinct will take me. This work represents a keystone in my most recent artistic journey. For some years I had been channeled towards an almost abstract painting, with characters of my invention who directed me in the path of estrangement from reality. I felt the need to detach from them and move towards "my" abstract art. I wanted to express myself freely, without constraints of forms that inevitably followed one after another on my canvases, in an orderly and static way. I wanted to be free from graphic patterns of creatures, wanted and desired by me, but making me feel tied down. I experimented and tried, until I came to use the shapes I already knew by mixing them, opening them and deforming them. And I have come this far; this painting is proof of this. It is not for me a point of arrival but of departure instead, to keep on experimenting, listening where my instinct will lead me. ----------------------- Sides are painted, so the painting is ready to hang. Ysbel statement

I am a painter. The image, colours, shapes have always played an important role in my life. Above all, colour has always been the essential and very present element, characterizing all the works since the beginning of my career. I started by painting landscapes with very bright and unnatural colors. Blue trees, purple houses and red mountains that wanted to convey my revenge towards a life that had led me to bad choices and the awareness of wanting to be myself at any cost.

After this period I dedicated myself to the human figure, especially the female one, painting deformed bodies marked by intense emotions and always with very bright colors. At that time they represented all the suffering, the inadequacy, the guilt of being different.

Later I felt the need to look for something more personal, unique, truly mine. I wanted to convey a positive message through subjects that were the fruit of my imagination, characters that belonged to my fantasy world. I began my research and I experimented until some entities arrived, always very colorful, inspired by what I had seen and searched for in recent times; characters who look at the viewer with irony and complacency. Finally free as I felt, free to be yourself, deformed and positive.

So that brings us to today, where these entities have increasingly dissolved into colour: forms have opened up, free from constraints, up to abstraction and increasingly intense chromatic schemes. In the end, I no longer needed to represent characters, I no longer needed to enclose the colour in a shape. I was and I am free to express, especially by colour, my freedom and to communicate the strength of being oneself.

To complete this new goal, I joined the great passion for classical literature by choosing for my paintings the titles of novels that have had a particular meaning for me and that have always accompanied my days, giving me intense and exciting moments. From what they told me and looking carefully at your website, I am convinced that Artfinder is the best solution for me to be able to make my works known to a very wide audience and, of course, to be able to sell my works too.

Thank you for you interest in my work.

Feel at your ease to let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to assist you as soon as possible.
