This work was inspired by the popular superstition that when it gets dark at night food should be carried covered. Otherwise, the Moon will look into the product, and can bring in, as it were, evil. In life, you can observe the wearing of food, both open and closed. But, I was only interested in the plot, in which the door to the world of fantasy and mysticism opens, where we can convey such a state by artistic means and in an associative way. First of all, I chose a composition of figures containing both a living person and other fairy-tale characters. I chose a style rich in color-sensations as impressionistic, to which the color gamut is subordinated to the lunar silver-bluish lighting. And I have chosen the corpus letter of the painting, which perfectly fit into such a combination of colors and bright spots. I hope the viewer will feel and feel these oddities of "peeping the Moon" as an allegory and metaphysical description of the existence of the World.
