A painting was sold at the Craft Fair
Well, I attended a local winter craft fair trying to showcase some of my paintings, and out of my expectations one of my paintings was quickly spotted and sold to an art collector. I was really happy to have a connection in my local community through my artwork! I will certainly participate again in the future...
It's been five years since my last art exhibition
It’s been five years since my last art exhibition that took place in an art gallery of my home city. Among other artworks my painting was not particularly outstanding as it was my first formal art exhibition. Looking back, it was such a fabulous experience! Those days were eventful, which had involved sending and collecting my piece of painting, encountering visitors etc. It was just like yesterday’s happening, flashing back in my memory now. The exhibition was called “War Art And Reconciliation: Centenary Of End Of Ww1 Colchester, Essex, UK. Below is a couple of photos I took during the exhibition period.
The image on top.
Since then the pandemic/lockdowns had made it impossible to carry out public events and I have not had much opportunity to participate in any other exhibition, though I have a lot more paintings in hand. The only thing I can be sure about is that painting has gradually become not just a hobby, but a passion for me in these five years. Hooray!!
Becoming a member of Colchester Art Society
I have now become a member of the Colchester Art Society and will be involveing more in the regional art activities. Looking forward to new connections and improvements!
A previous painting amended
UK
A previous artwork using acrylic medium has slightly been amended. I love to use the acrylics as it's easy to change/modify the image without affecting the quality. It's really a versatile material for artworks. Highly recommended!
New painting finished
UK
Just finished a new painting after preparation and intensive days of work: Flowers, still life, acrylics on canvas. Personally thinking, it's one of my best favourites. Hope you like it! :)
