In 1986, his artistic path led him to Namibia, where he assumed the role of the Sculptor for the Windhoek State Museum. In 1990, Botha transitioned to Cape Town, dedicating himself fully to his sculpting endeavors. Notably, his talents have been commemorated in public commissions, such as the sculptures at the SANRAL building in Midrand, Johannesburg, and the striking Atlas sculpture adorning the Hohenzollern Building in Swakopmund, Namibia.
