Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Les premiers tatouages revêtent une importance toute particulière. C’est souvent un moyen d’exprimer ses valeurs profondes, son attachement à ses origines. Lorsqu’un déracinement est ressenti, le tatouage se représente parfois comme un moyen de dire l’importance des liens du sang. Et il y a là quelque chose d’antinomique : à la base fait pour exprimer sa singularité et sa personnalité, les premiers tatouages sont souvent l’expression de son attachement aux autres.

On ne cherche pas alors forcément à offrir directement son tatouage à la vue des autres, on le cache plus volontiers ; ou bien encore le sens devient parfois moins immédiat. Le tatouage ne peut se décoder sans l’aide de celui qui le porte : c’est un moyen de choisir à qui on dévoile son intimité. Quand Emmanuelle s’est fait tatouer sur les poignets, elle a créé un tatouage constitué d’éléments clefs sur l’histoire de sa famille. Une famille jusqu’alors dispersée et rassemblée sur ses poignets, un moyen pour elle de reconstituer ses racines, à l’image de l’arbre tatoué sur son bras. Sous forme de rébus, elle choisit alors à qui dévoiler les secrets de son histoire.

Technic Drawing

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and joins, without clear transition, the painting.

Born in Marseille, I am a self-taught artist. Part of my apprenticeship nevertheless took place through meetings and exchanges with a few artists from the Rhône-Alpes region where we were living with my parents. During this period I did all kinds of experiments and learned several techniques, from oil painting to pastel and even modeling. Many attempts before finally returning a few years later to the techniques of my childhood: gouache, watercolor and mainly pencil.

My work is autobiographical, it is inspired by my daily life, my experiences, my questions; It is the reflection of these captured moments that remain frozen in my memory. Through my encounters, I sometimes become the vehicle for expressing the emotions of others that I try to transcribe as well as possible in my paintings. My works then become the fruit of sharing.

When the image is in memory, everything then consists of best transcribing the atmosphere that emanates from the moment: removing certain contours, interpreting the light to keep only the essentials. Because in the end all the challenge is there, to get as close as possible to the original emotion. A research that is based on elements that may seem contradictory: where my technique consists of a realistic rendering, or at least to transcribe a certain reality, it must express the impalpable.
