Vladimir Volosov was born in 1937 in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is a Doctor of Science, Professor of quantum electronics, winner of the USSR State Award, author of more than 100 scientific articles.
In 1990, he left his scientific career and completely devoted himself to painting. "One can rarely find people for whom to live one life is not enough and they manage to live several lives within the same God-given amount of time."
Now he is author of several hundreds paintings. The main directions of his paintings are lyrical realism and abstract compositions. His paintings are about light, color, atmosphere and space.
Volosov's works are currently held in galleries and private collections in Russia, USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Israel, and Japan.

2004 - Membership in Russian Derzhavin's Academy of Art
2009 - Special prize at the Moscow International Festival "Art preview"
2010 - Two gold medals at an exhibition at Asa Art Gallery (New York)
2012 - Four paintings was included in album "International Contemporary Artists" Vol IV, New York

... For almost 30 years of the author's "second life", his exhibitions have taken place in Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, and the USA. In 1994 he participated in a series of traveling exhibitions of Russian artists in Germany under the slogan “Two Worlds - One Culture”. Volosov's personal exhibition in 1994 in the Summer Garden opens on the day of the beginning of the Goodwill Games, the exhibition was opened by Mayor Anatoly Sobchak
In 2006, an album about the work of Vladimir Volosov was published (publishing house "Kovcheg" St. Petersburg).
In 2010, publication in the Swiss edition "Who is who in Russia"
In 2013 published. several paintings in the album "International Contemporary Artist" New York
In 2014 published in the publication "Who's Who in Russia"
