Vladimir Fomin is a contemporary sculptor and designer. He realizes his ideas entirely by himself - starting from a simple sketch to the final masterpiece crafted in metal. This approach lends his works a natural coherence and harmony. Originally from Russia, he pursued his studies in sculpture in Belarus and further honed his skills in working with materials by exploring foundries in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Minsk.
In 2017, he made the move to Kraków, where he now oversees the foundry studio Bronze Polskie. During this time, he has developed his own distinctive artistic style and shifted his focus towards creating interior design elements.
Blending art with industry, he has ventured into crafting designer furniture and smaller-sized pieces. He finds inspiration in everyday objects and transforms them into works of art. Embracing the ideals of Kandinsky's abstractionism and Braque's cubism, he artfully combines forms, colors, and textures, disregarding conventional meanings in favor of celebrating the intrinsic beauty of the material itself.
