Virginie is a self-taught and intuitive painter who has been expressing herself through drawing and painting since her childhood. She started painting with oil on kraft paper mounted on canvas. She now expresses herself more with acrylic paint, mixed media and also watercolor recently.

Her sources of inspiration lie in the expression of faces and bodies. Largely influenced and inspired by the so-called expressionist artists, she seeks to extract herself from the simple figure to create a presence, to capture ambiguity, movement, interiority, fragility. She likes to capture the individual and beyond the appearance, to put in color his interiority.
