Vera DG is a Ukrainian-born multifaceted visual, who knows for a fact that she dreamed of becoming an artist from early childhood. Her very first personal exhibition took place when she was only six years old.

Unlike the usual norm, Vera proudly announced her way into the world of art with a giant leap; She was invited to decorate private apartments and houses of the most important people in her country, and for more than 5 years she collaborated with the main architectural companies based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Vera’s artworks were delighted with astonished customers like Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, Stavitsky Eduard, a well-known Ukrainian politician; Taruta Sergiy, general director of the ISIDA clinic; Viktor Kozin & others.

In 2016 Vera started a solo career. The ongoing focus is all about the development of Calligraffiti style, the combination of graffiti and calligraphy, which Vera connects with figurative and portrait painting.

Since 2016, Vera has been living in Istanbul. She came to study calligraphy within the ancient city which unites East and West. In the last few years, her genuine artwork witnessed so many influences and inspirations derived from Middle Eastern calligraphy.

In addition, Vera connects in her artworks Oriental Ottoman and Arab calligraphy along with Western European styles. It is a mix of characters, symbols, which acquires a unique meaning and content.

In 2019 Vera created the first in the world sculpture of Calligraffiti which exists only in Augmented Reality and presented it to the world at the opening of the exhibition “Reflections” at the Aisha Alabbar Art Gallery, Dubai, UAE.
