Letture (2009) Painting by Valter Vari

I was born in Rome in 1955; I have been living in Palombara (RM), in the Monti Lucretili Regional Park, since 1996.

I graduated from the "Beata Maria De Mattias" State Artistic High School and graduated with honors from the Faculty of Architecture of the "La Sapienza" University of Rome.

In the field of art, the foundations of my work are the essential study of the trace (sign and stratification of natural and human events), the minimalist analysis of space, the experimentation of new techniques and new supports, the transformation and decontextualization of objects to be returned to a new possibility of life.

In architecture, I deal with the redevelopment of street furniture and housing (new buildings and renovations), with a particular interest in eco-friendly projects. I design furniture, furnishing accessories and lighting with LED electric tubes.

Architecture and art integrate and complement each other constantly in my work.
