Valérie Marty is a contemporary French sculptor. During her teenage years, she took a decisive step towards her aspirations by enrolling in an architecture school. As time progressed, her professional journey unfolded in the vicinity of Tarn-et-Garonne, where she initially ventured into the realm of building trades, specifically in areas such as drawing and construction design. Eventually, her path led her to Montauban, where she emerged as a female entrepreneur at the helm of a reprography workshop. Here, she derives immense satisfaction from exploring and advancing new technologies for digital publishing. 

Fuelled by an unwavering passion for the arts and the boundless realm of creativity, she found solace and self-acceptance through artistic expression, a medium that allowed her to convey her experiences and emotions. In the year 2000, she embarked on a transformative journey by joining Christian André-Acquier's workshops, where she not only gained invaluable self-assurance but also honed her technique, refining her craft and precision. As a result, her artworks underwent a remarkable metamorphosis, aided by the transformative power of her chosen tools.

Her sculptures and drawings bear witness to the indelible marks of irreparable wounds: women burdened with heavy feet supporting delicate frames, graceful figures enveloped by sinuous clusters, encapsulating the mischievousness that only life's trials can impart. Each piece resonates with profound symbolism, reflecting the intricate complexities of human existence.
