Val Thoermer is a photographer from Germany who has over 40 years of photography experience and has been working as a freelance photographer in commercial photography since 2006. After his first contact with Photoshop in the 90s, he tries to combine the real photography world with the surreal, thanks to Photoshop and 3D programs.
At Artmajeur he presents mainly two projects: pure poster photography, mostly landscapes, and a mix of 3D renderings designed as photography or paintings. Thereby some look like cubist art, others like still lifes with fantastic flowers.
The photographer lives in Coburg and in addition to advertising commissions also produces a large series of large format calendars, currently over 60 publications and mostly travel photography, which can be found at any major bookseller.
Val Thoermer got the Gold for the calendar- project " Bayreuth - the city of music ".
