“The COVID-19 pandemic inspired me to make this ceramic artwork. The microscopic virus not visible to the naked eye has an astonishingly huge effect on the life of our society and every individual therein. I illustrated this idea by enlarging the virus-motifs on the surface of this ceramic artwork and reducing the size of the many puzzle-figures symbolizing human society. I marked the individual differences with symbolic stamps on the puzzle-figures.”

The unique point in the art of Tovolgyi, is that she is always coming up with something new. She is always looking for new techniques and she likes to do new experiments. That allows her to transform one creative style into another. She is able to renew her work time after time both the techniques and ideas. If someone happens to know just one period and style of her works, he/she may not be able to match her name with another artwork from one of her other art periods. There are only few versatile artists, such as Tovolgyi. Unlimited creativity and the combination of several high quality techniques are found in her artworks.
