Biographie Timothy Hagelstein dit Timo (artiste peintre).
Né en Belgique en 1951, passionné de musiques, de peinture et de poésie, il connaît d’abord une carrière musicale de succès dans les années 70/80 en Belgique, France et surtout au Portugal sous le nom de Timothy – principaux succès : Mona-Lisa, Lady-Love, Novo Amor etc.
Autodidacte, il dessine et peint un nombre important de pochettes de disques pour d’autres artistes et fait sa première exposition à Lisbonne dans le quartier de Benfica où il expose des peintures sur tissu et où l’on remarque déjà sa préférence pour l’art abstrait.
Après une parenthèse dans le monde de l’édition musicale, du droit d’auteur (il sera Vice-Président d’une Société d’auteur et ce pendant 10 ans), il s’installe en 2005 dans le Sud de la France près d’Uzès et publie plusieurs livres de poésies (Langages Impossibles – Les eaux silencieuses – les émotionnelles apnées – tous les trois traduits et publiés en langue portugaise), conjointement il multiplie ses créations picturales en exposants avec un certain succès de nombreuses peintures à l’huile, en Belgique et dans le Sud de la France.
