Elle vole vers le lointain.
Ses doigts qui touchent terre
Sont ici pour écrire
Des mots que la vitesse
Elle seule peut vraiment dire : Vivre ! »
“Rolling over his hands,
She flies into the distance.
Her fingers touching the ground
are here to write
Words that speed
She alone can truly say: Live! »
Cedric Bondonnat
This child doing the wheel symbolizes the life force that we all have within us, and which sometimes awakens when we are tested.
This bird taking flight is like a little inner voice that urges us to move forward. It comes back like a red thread through my sculptures, to whisper in the viewer's ear "don't be afraid, you are not alone, trust yourself"...
This sculpture was made in bronze using the so-called "lost wax" technique, in partnership with the Adobati Foundry, in the Drôme.
There is an all-black version and a version with the gold bird. A choice.
