Inspired by the rich autumn leaves and light on walks through the beautiful woodland close to my home in East Sussex, I decided to work on a small series of oil paintings exploring the elemental and natural world in the fall. Inspired by the rich autumn leaves and light on walks through the beautiful woodland close to my home in East Sussex, I decided to work on a small series of oil paintings exploring the elemental and natural world in the fall.

I wanted the fairy to maintain an ethereal transluscent quality as this is what I see when I am doing shamanic healing work. Also to show the orbs dancing in the sunlight. This was in contrast to the fox's rich earthy and fiery reds and oranges.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.


In my early 20’s, I undertook a National Diploma course in Graphic Design and then went on to the Surrey Institute in Epsom to gain a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.  Following 13 years as a Graphic Designer, I decided to fulfil my dream of becoming a Lecturer and pass on what I'd learned. I undertook a PGCE at Northbrook College and gained employment at West Kent College, Ravensbourne and Nescot, where I lectured in Graphic Design, Art and Music. I thrived in helping adults young and old to make their dreams come true. I also unfolded my healing gifts through shamanic and reiki training.

Motherhood, enabled me to return to my own illustration and art projects. My most recent project has been to paint local landscapes that hold fond memories for me and bring great joy and British wildlife. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have...
