Sofya is an artist from Ostend, Belgium. In 2013 she obtained a master's degree at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (in Ghent). Now she works on her personal projects and takes part in art exhibitions and art shows. She continues actively to develop her skills in painting and drawing. She is currently studying at KAZ Oostende and is studying in the Flemish Watercolour and Drawing school led by Belgian watercolorist Fernand Thienpondt. She likes working with all kinds of materials, but her preference is mainly in pastel and watercolour. Her motifs are mainly imaginary landscapes. In her landscapes there is often a protagonist or element that tells the story of the place or sheds light on the situation.
