La serie de los cielos empezó en el 2020, en plena crisis sanitaria. Hasta la actualidad, consiste en seis cielos diferentes, que cambian en tamaño. Fue mi primera experimentación con un bastidor circular: cuando noté la forma en la cual todos los significados de Lo Redondo se adaptaban perfectamente a la imagen que quería transmitir, no hubo vuelta[...]
La serie de los cielos empezó en el 2020, en plena crisis sanitaria. Hasta la actualidad, consiste en seis cielos diferentes, que cambian en tamaño. Fue mi primera experimentación con un bastidor circular: cuando noté la forma en la cual todos los significados de Lo Redondo se adaptaban perfectamente a la imagen que quería transmitir, no hubo vuelta atrás. En los cielos se conjugan varias de las pasiones que descubrí estudiando, tales como el arte religioso del siglo XIX, la naturaleza y el surrealismo metafísico tan característico de artistas como Magritte.
En un momento de crisis humanitaria tan intensa como la que experimentamos, encontré que la mejor solución para mí era centrarme en las cosas imperceptibles, y constantemente sublimes, que nos rodean en lo cotidiano, y nos contienen cuando sufrimos. El cielo, con su redondez eterna, tiene un carácter etéreo y, si se lo escucha, dice mucho más que cualquier otra imagen.
En un momento de crisis humanitaria tan intensa como la que experimentamos, encontré que la mejor solución para mí era centrarme en las cosas imperceptibles, y constantemente sublimes, que nos rodean en lo cotidiano, y nos contienen cuando sufrimos.
