"Self-taught painter, for me, superimposing colors, scratching the canvas is a therapeutic and redemptive approach".

Through travels, encounters, doubts and certainties Silvano tries in his works to sublimate a phrase that is close to his heart: "From contradiction is born progress." The contradiction is born in the mixture of colors, a true fusion of pictorial lavas where voluptuous thoughts evaporate. The words burst from his subconscious like missiles which, carried by the wind and its waves to the soul, hit their virtual targets. The tormented relief of his works are furrows which forcefully and spontaneously engrave the mysteries of creation and the unconscious. Not to think, to indulge in a sweet euphoria, to see the colors appear ... and above all not to see the meaning of things but the finality. Italy, the United States, Corsica, the beyond, mysticism ... are his favorite themes. He sweeps the canvas with large brushstrokes superimposing colors and materials, printing graffiti such as advertising spots using objects that pass to his hand: potatoes, kitchen sponges, stencils, screwdrivers ... like so many expiatory gestures. So fasten your seatbelt and have a good trip ...

He spent a restless and painful childhood in the northern districts of Marseille, before settling in Pradet (Var). The discovery of the world of scuba diving, its colors, its beauty, this "world of silence", act as a revelation, an electric shock for this hypersensitive, a little bear, a little gruff. He feels permanently hurt, bruised by the progressive degradation of his environment, by the broken promises of the political world, by the lies of Western society; painting is for him a way of shouting out his indignation and his pain: in his own way, a militant action. His gesture is impulsive, sometimes violent, reactive to the present moment, to our world which attacks him, rectilinear like the bars of buildings which haunt him.
