Kirichenko Sergey Alekseevich was born in 1959 in the city of Nikopol. Graduated from the Odessa Art School named after. Grekova in 1991.
The thirst for drawing came to Sergei already in adulthood: after metallurgical technical school, he went from his native Nikopol to Odessa to enroll in the famous “Grekovka”. During the pre-Maidanov period (until 2014), Sergei created abstract paintings, and currently he boldly experiments with different techniques and materials.
The open and sincere decorativeness of the artist’s paintings is captivating - all of Sergei’s works embody the power of opposition: “life squeezes you, but you don’t give in, you want to bloom.” That is why in the works of Sergei Kirichenko a magical land decorated with flowers appears, filled with cheerfulness, warmth, tenderness - as an overcoming of dark times not only by the author, but by the entire country.
His works are in the Odessa Art Museum, in the Municipal Museum of Private Collections named after A.V. Bleschunov, in the Khmelnitsky Art Museum and private collections around the world.
