Always passionate about images, Serge Leroux (SL) began with video art by working in the studios of Joan Logue and tony Ramos at the American Center in 1982 and 1983.
Distributor of art films and Essays from 1986 to K Films until 1990.
Director of short films: Reflets in 1987, La, Skiss, straight line liberated, Coups d'oeil in 1990.
Associate producer of Feature films in 1994 (La Porte Close by Abdelkader Lagtaa, and of the medium film "La Prière de l 'Absente" by Mohammed Hamidi) with the company Atlantis Films International.
Associate producer and director of documentary films on contemporary music since 1998 for Mezzo with the company Hibou Production. Creator of the collection: "Musiques de Notre temps"
Follows the acrylic painting workshop at the Cultural Center of Neuilly sur Seine since 2015. Creator of 80 acrylic canvases since that date.
He works a lot on the 5 elements: fire, air, water, earth, metal and on impressions of interior and exterior landscapes.
He was very Influenced by the work of Tapies on textures and by that of Olivier Debré on color; as a teenager he had the chance to see him work in his studio in Cachan. His fairly expressionist pictorial research is intimately linked to meditation and the letting go of the unconscious.
