Corals used to be beautifully colored, but nowadays for more and more of them the colors only comes from the fishes hovering around them, since climate change, through temperature rise and acidification of the oceans, kills the zooxanthellae (sorts of algae) living inside their tissue, turning them white (their structure color). Even the fishes colors mays disappear some day not so far, since fish population has been reduced by more than 80% compared to historical levels - a population decrease even worse for bigger fish, above 90%.

(french below) Serendipity is a self-taught person in the domain of arts, their formation being purely scientific. They have always liked working with several mediums, starting with drawings, painting then modifying and scultping miniatures, writing or, more recently, music. However, they found in 2019 their favorite material, by far : bone, and especially their cancellous (spongy) parts, so beautiful with its chaotic-looking 3d grid, strong despite its delicate look, raising tons of ideas just by looking at it - they like to call it bone lace. They of course does not work with this material only, using as well wood, often from random twisted pieces of wood found everywhere, and some rusted nails.Their name was not chosen randomly, since serendipity is their main way of working, often finding what already lies within the material - mostly cancellous bone or wood - and putting it in the open for all to see, like their "headless dancer" work. Serendipity started more recently to experiment with monotype and all that goes around ; there again, using serendipity is paramount to their way of working.
