Sebastiano Lantieri, artist photographer, discovered his passion for photography at the age of 7, a passion transmitted by his father who captured every event, every celebration, every outing, every excursion, in short, every moment of family life. . Periodically, they reviewed all the photographs taken, commented on them. Even though it was a recurring ritual, for him it felt like it was always the first time. He was fascinated by the contemplation of photos, especially those in black and white.

Over time, this passion for photography grew in him. As a teenager, he started using his father's camera, which he still uses with pleasure: a magnificent mechanical film camera, a Bell & Howell TTL II with fantastic optics (built by Cosina). As an autodidact, he began to experiment with photography. At about age 20, he started hanging out with photography-loving friends and professionals in the industry, helping them with their photographic services, and thus began to photograph professionally. Today, he mainly uses digital, and often uses vintage lenses which give a special look to photos that digital lenses fail to reproduce.

For him, photography must not only express a concept or tell something, but also and above all convey an emotion. His favorite photography is that of nature and landscapes. The world around us, observed in its smallest details, makes it possible to create works of art that span various fields, from abstract to surrealism, etc. The photos of Franco Fontana are an example of this.

Since birth, he has lived and worked in Syracuse (Italy), a city with a millennial history where the sea, the monuments and the landscape inspire him in his photography. He hopes to convey the same emotions he feels before and after the shoot.
