Rosita Allinckx is a contemporary Belgian artist. She is a multimedia artist, her works range from painting to sculpting, creating mixed art to digital art. Her main source of inspiration is the world around her, a world that is not necessarily her own. Observation and participation, registration and intervention - as often as they repel each other they complement each other. With this apparent paradox in the background, Allinckx is permanently searching for the key to this world that is so often inaccessible to her. She experiences it as repeated, not infrequently emotionally charged encounters with a layered reality that inspire her and ultimately materialize in her sculptures.
Characteristic of the sculptures of the artist is her preference for clay as basic material. Many sculptures intended to be cast in bronze or other materials are created in this material. Because of their simplicity and serenity, a lot of them look powerful and sensual. Around all the undulations, from which reality has been unhesitatingly scraped off but which nevertheless remain very recognizable a passion dances.
Rosita Allinckx was born in 1962, in Belgium. She was awarded The American Art Award in 2021 as a digital artist and The Art of the Heart award in London as the best digital artist.
