Graduated from UNAM as a CLINICAL AND WORK PSYCHOLOGIST with Honorable Mention in 1985, she has dedicated herself to exploring the Human Being as a Spiritual entity. He has completed Master's studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the USA. He has given numerous training courses and treated psychiatric patients in SSA and IMSS hospitals for more than 15 years. This has led him to redesign the approach of current therapies. He is currently researching in the area of emotional intelligence how painting and drawing can support emotional well-being, pain management and the development of emotional intelligence in both children and adults.

As a PLASTIC ARTIST, he has experimented for more than 30 years with his own theories for the exercise of creativity. He has managed to create original work, completely intuitive and of a great plastic level. He has won several awards at the national level, including the Tlacuilo Trophy awarded by the Alfredo Guati-Rojo National Museum of Watercolor, which represents the highest award in Mexico for mastery of watercolor.
He has exhibited in numerous both individual and collective exhibitions not only in Mexico but abroad and is part of the "Texas Watercolor Society", the "San Antonio Watercolor Group" and is also a member of the group of 12 called "The Majestic Twelve" all groups of artists in USA. Of this last group, María del Rocío is the only Latin American artist who is part of it. Her works have been sold in various parts of the world, including Switzerland, Scotland, England, Spain, USA, etc.
As a TEACHER AND THERAPIST, she has started her school of Psychopainting and research emphasizing the development of creativity. He has taught painting classes and workshops to both children and adults for more than 25 years in his own workshop.
He has worked, researched and presented individual exhibitions using water techniques such as watercolor, acrylic, tempera, gouache and inks.
