Robert Michalak, born in Thorn/Poland, is a freelance designer, photographer, photo artist and musician who lives in Cologne. One of his great passions are his photo collages, which are created from several images that are copied one on top of the other and treated with color. This gives them a very special effect. The basic idea is: to use the symbiosis created to make the photos appear in a new guise and to differentiate them even more from reality. The first works were created at the beginning of 2007.
“Everything is worth a picture”
The dubious encounters with the surroundings, through Robert Michalak’s detail-focused eye, become rich in color and contrast Collagen transformed. He photographs everything that seems interesting to him and always skillfully puts together current and older images in his personal style. The viewer is thus transported into Robert Michalak's created perspective.
